Okay, so recently I met with the folks over at Ralph's Design and they enlightened me to some important considerations with regards to the future of my writing. We discussed my plans for the future of the Sally Singletary Series as well as Elements of Eaa and the others. In the course of the discussion it became clear that if I truly hope to accomplish my long term goals I need to change the focus of my current projects. This may come as somewhat of a disappointment to fans, but I promise more books are coming.
For a long time I have had several nonfiction books that I have put some work into in small increments that deal with topics like Co-Teaching and Self-Improvement and the gist of what I took away from my meeting was that I need to put a focus on those materials first. Co-Teaching is a big shift currently and I think I have a lot to offer teachers, administrators, and districts int the way of best practices and strategies.
What all this means is that rather than focusing solely on my fiction work, I will need to focus on my nonfiction for a while. This may result in a slight delay for the release of Sally Singletary's Discovery, but I assure you, I am committed to getting it into your hands soon.
I hope that you all will support my efforts and spread the word about what's on the horizon and thank you for being such amazing fans! :)
